    Miami Heat's Greg Oden Battled Depression & Alcoholism

    The Miami Heat’s newest player Greg Oden appeared destined for greatness from an early age. He was one of the most recruited basketball players in high school, ultimately choosing Ohio State. In his one year at Ohio State he led his team to the NCAA championship game and was the 2007 first overall selection in the NBA draft to the Portland Trailblazers. What could possibly go wrong? What followed was not supposed to happen, not to people on the fast track to success like Greg Oden. The passing of a good friend, the pressure to succeed, three devastating knee injuries, a sexting scandal, the tragic death of his dog, losing his cousin to cancer, and being cut by the Portland Trail Blazers is an unimaginable emotional burden to be dealt to a kid in his 20s trying to live out his dream.

    The Steubenville Rape Video, Alcohol and Teenagers

    Michael Nodianos really messed up. He is the teenager in the video recently released by the hacktavist group Anonymous shown joking about an incident of rape allegedly perpetrated by his fellow high school football teammates in Steubenville, Ohio. The language and attitude in the video is highly disturbing and offensive.

    Who Should Teach Your Kids To Drink?

    Parents in Florida that are not opposed to their children learning to drink alcohol responsibly are faced with a dilemma. Should I teach my kid to drink at home and break the law or should I forbid it and hope that when my kid does start drinking that he/she will be responsible. It is indeed illegal for anyone under the age of 21 in the state of Florida to drink alcohol under any circumstances. Most states have exceptions to this rule, for example, in Georgia kids have the right to drink alcohol at home with parental consent.
